Nestled cozily on the meticulously terraced slopes of one of Dominica's most majestic peaks, "Morne Anglais", are the Exotica cottages.

Constructed with the finest tropical hardwoods and cured pine, they are an aesthetic blend of fine Caribbean architecture with the conveniences of a modern, self-contained vacation resort. These eight (8) remote, private cluster of cottages are situated four hundred meters above sea level on the western slope of Morne Anglais, (English Mountain).

The cottages are built out of a tasteful combination of wood and stone creating a wonderful blend of traditional Caribbean architecture.

From your private porch you command a view of rows of organically grown vegetables, acres of rainforest, and Caribbean sunsets. Exquisite birds nest only feet away, in the evenings, the gentle glow of the lights of Roseau, five miles away, complement the remarkable constellations of clear tropical nights.

The cool mountain breeze accentuates the brilliance of the more than thirty-eight types of tropical flowers, fruit trees and aromatic herbs cultivated on the four acre organic farm which comprises the grounds of this agro-eco resort.

Old hunting trails in a pristine rain forest, hiking, bird watching, river bathing, snorkeling, scuba diving, whale & dolphin watching are all within easy reach.

You may prepare your own meals or you can have your taste buds seduced by the culinary delicacies created and prepared with fresh produce organically grown on the adjoining farm, and served at the "Sugar Apple Café" on the grounds not more than 2 minutes away from your cottage. A wide range of local fruit juices and a generous selection of wines will enhance your dining experience.

All rooms are generous with exquisite sea views, balconies, wooden jalousie windows, private bathrooms and fans. The eternal sound of the sea lulls you to sleep in the cool of the night.

Enjoy an amazing boulder shoreline - the perfect place for relaxing, or for good swimmers to snorkel and explore the wide variety of hard and soft corals in the crystal clear waters.

Dining
At Zandoli Inn meals are served on our patio under the stars or in our dining room. Fish from the neighboring fishing village of Fond St. Jean, chicken from Stowe, tropical fruits and vegetables of the island, as well as imported foods, are combined for a universal appeal.

Location

Roche Cassée - Stowe - Dominica Zandoli Inn is located at Stowe on the most southerly coast of Dominica, 25 minutes from the capital, Roseau near the fishing village of Fond St. Jean. Come by taxi, local bus or rental car. Most flights land at Melville Hall in the northeast of the island and the drive to Stowe, affords an exciting first look at the rugged geography and abundant flora that makes Dominica unique.
